One of the things I do to earn a little bit of extra income is to recycle ink cartridges. You can sign up in any Office Max or Staples store and bring in your used cartridges and get the equivalent of in store gift certificates that can be used for purchases. Office Max allows you to recycle up to 10 cartridges per week and with each one recycled you earn $3. They only accept HP, Dell an Lexmark ink and toner cartridges. You can access your account on line and print your certificates when they become available. You can find out about the program here. The Staples program is similar, but they let you recycle any brand of cartridge. You are limited to 10 per month and a store certificate is mailed to you.
