Recipe: Homemade Peanut Butter Kandy Kakes Yum!!

These are so delicious. I made them a few weeks ago and thought I would share the recipe! You can click on the flour link for the coupon to get almost free flour!

Homemade Peanut Butter Kandy Kakes 

Scald one cup of milk with two tbsp. of butter (set aside)

Blend Together:
• 2 cups of flour
• 2 cups of sugar
• 1tsp. baking powder
• 1tsp. vanilla
• Pinch of Salt
• 4 eggs

Add milk mixture and blend well. Spread into a greased and floured jelly roll pan or cookie sheet (15 ½ X 10 ½).

Bake in oven 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.

Remove from oven immediately. Spread with one 1lb. jar of peanut butter.

Refrigerate until cold.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Carefully spread Hershey’s plain milk chocolate bars on top of cake 12 bars 1.5 oz. each or 1lb. (16oz.) of chips. Place cake back in oven until chocolate melts and is spreadable (3-4minutes) and refrigerate until chocolate hardens.

Prepare and Deliver Meals to Busy Families

I have a friend who works until 5:30 every day. She doesn’t always have time to cook, but she doesn’t want to do take out every night. That’s how she found a local meal delivery service. The meal delivery service issues a menu each week with a list of entrees that she will prepare and deliver to your home. You choose which days you would like and she delivers it hot to your house in time for dinner!

The lady who owns the meal delivery service works solely off word of mouth and she prepares the entrees in her home. She sends out a menu each Friday. Each day has a specific meal available with the option to add a dessert. She only cooks Monday – Thursday. You can order just one day or all 4. It doesn’t matter. You have to respond by Saturday with your order so she can go shopping for the ingredients on Sunday.

She cooks and prepares the meals earlier in the day and delivers the meal hot around 1 pm in take out style containers. If you aren’t home, she leaves it in one of the hot/cold bags on your doorstep or you can arrange to pick up from her. The food is still good when you get home and you have a nice, healthy meal to serve your family. Her entrees include things like Steak with homemade mashed potatoes and steamed veggies and Rigatoni with eggplant and fresh tomatoes, a tossed salad and garlic bread.
