The only difference is that when you search through them you are randomly awarded Swagbucks in varying denominations. These Swagbucks can then be turned in for gift cards to places like Barnes & Noble, Target and Amazon.  To give you an example it only costs 45 Swagbucks for a $5 gift card to Amazon.  I always win at least 3 times a day just doing normal internet searches.
